Leather make-up pouch
The idea of this project was to make a pouch for my friend to be able to carry her makeup tools and products during LARPs. She is a very talented artist and often brings her things to events and does our make-up after battle to create false injuries, which is why she needed it to fit in with her costume. It was a great project for me because she sent me pictures of her basic kit, along with measurements and requirements and I got to design the entire pouch around it. Of course, I first made a (very ugly) prototype out of cardboard, especially to test out my idea of making the pouch lid in such a way that when it swings open it stops level with two little ribbons so it can serve as a little shelf to put things on while working.
The leather I used for this project is vegetable tanned leather, from a set of discounted scraps from The Leather Colony, a local store that offers leather, products and tools.
