Pirates
This project came about because I had made this black waistcoat for another production, but eventually it could not be used as the color was too dark to fit in with the rest of the color palette. I therefore custom-made the rest of the costume for a friend which I persuaded to come do a photo shoot with me.
The breeches are made out of heavy-duty cotton jersey, which is a fantastic substitute for fine wool or soft leather that ensures the wearer is comfortable - a trick I learned from costuming school!
